We are Rachel Krauss and Jon Sontag, aka The Sundays. Our shared passion for art and design gave birth to The Sunday Saloon, a boutique wedding film studio with a stylized directorial approach. We were married on a Sunday and we covet all things western, like saloons and horses and cowboy boots… but our hearts were molded by the folky rock of the 70's our parents raised us on.
As we began making art together, we edited and posted our own wedding video and, who would have known, fate came a-knocking at our door. Some really great folks saw the video and asked us to film their wedding (thanks Holly and Ben!). After booking up a year full of wedding movies and commercial video/photo work, we quit our day jobs and rode off into the sunset.
In 2017 we decided to hang up the wedding cameras. Rachel is running a wellness brand called Peace Love Rally and Jon is a Creative Director at Code and Theory. But who knows, maybe we'll be back at it someday, somewhere, with a couple cameras in our hands and something beautiful to film.
