CAPITOLA TREASURE HUNTING

We needed to get out of the house today so, without a plan, we got in the car and drove. We hopped on the 17, then 1 south, and ended up in downtown Capitola. After parking the car and wandering down the hill into town, we stumbled upon an eclectic little vintage shop called Betsy's Summerhouse Antiques.

Of course we couldn't help but leave with a few things. This Scandinavian dresser from the 30's was a must buy for us. We're so excited to find the perfect place for it in our home.

We picked up this ornate white and gold mirror as well... too bad the aqua dresser below it was already sold, it was also a lovely piece.

We didn't end up getting the handpainted chair below, but we kinda wish we did. So charming. Now we have our eyes out for some floral painted chairs. Once we got home, we painted our old wrought iron dining table antique white to pair with a couple reupholstered ikat print mid-century chairs we found in downtown Santa Cruz... photos coming soon! Happy Sunday!
